Ganges River
Me at the Pushkar Camel Fair
Pushkar Camel Fair
Must say this place had the most impact on me and was the most memorable part of my India holiday. It was an unusual place with urbanisation one side of the river and flood plain on the other. Dead bodies being washed and then burned in funeral fires on the river bank, and people bathing in the 'holy' waters of the Ganges. When I planned my holiday overseas one of the main things I wanted to see was this camel fair after seeing an amazing photo of thousands of camels. It was just as extraordinay as I had thought. This view captures only a small part of the landscape which was filled with camels. You are free to walk whereever you like. The camel fair is an amazing place. Its the biggest on Earth.

Taj Mahal
You couldn't take a tripod in here as they search your bags (I think that means you are professional). Rested the camera on a seat to frame and take this photo. Not sure why its blue, but I think I may have used a graduated blue filter to give the white hazy sky a bit of color, but it didn't work so well.
