| Not enough available light for this film so I set up a kitchen foil reflector pointing in the window (also didn't have a flash). Still not enough light to avoid shallow depth of field and blur. Nice baby though (although Im bias as its my nephew!) | These falls were about a 30 minute hike into the rainforest. Very nice and no-one around. The tripod was balanced precariously to avoid some folage obstructing part of the view. | This was about the 4th day I sat here in the car waiting for sunset, but this day the thick clouds didn't swarm over at the last minute. It's at Jeffery Street wharf opposite the city and Opera House. I was photographing alongside some fisherman. |
| Earlier in the day I was at Hay (600km west of Sydney) driving home after a 2 week trip to Victoria. Arrived in Sydney just before sunset and realised we finally had a day without clouds, so instead of going home to sleep I parked and walked half an hour with the 20kgs of camera gear and waited. There was an opera performance about to start and people were just arriving. I took about 20 shots during the rapidly changing light. This one had the fewest blurry people. | Got here around midday in 38 degree heat (100 degrees Fahrenheit). Thought view would be better closer to sunset (7pm) so sat in the car (only shade available) and waited for 7 hours (since I was hundreds of km from anywhere). Lots of coach tourists and others. Only 7 Apostles left of the 12 (5 visible here). | |
